Prefabricated construction has been around for several decades now, yet there seems to be a lot of confusion over what benefits and advantages prefabricated construction offers. It is my personal experience it comes down to a preformed perception of “what” prefab entails and where the specific opportunities are on a given project. Prefabricated construction can often lead to significantly shorter project schedules, greater safety for the workers involved, better jobsite coordination and a greater control over the quality of the materials being prefabricated. Let’s examine:

Otto Kinzel Joins the Sales and Estimating Team at Atlantic Prefab

Otto Kinzel has been working in various factions of the construction industry since 2004.
A 2002 graduate of Plymouth (NH) State University with a Bachelor’s in English Literature, Otto started at Maine Ornamental in Elliot, ME as a sales and marketing person. Since then he has worked for Parksite, Fiberon Decking, and Vulcraft (a division of Nucor Steel), focusing on sales and customer development before coming to Atlantic Prefab.
At Atlantic Prefab Otto will continue to focus on sales & customer development while also heading up estimating.

We Give American Builder a Tour of our Wilton Facility

We spent the morning taking Brian from American Builder and WMCT's Hard Hats on a tour of our Wilton facility to show him the ins and outs of constructing prefabricated and pre-finished wall panels.

American Builder will join Atlantic Prefab at our APEX Center of New England project in Marlborough where they will cover the process of installing panels, and the finished product.

Employee Spotlight: Matt Pudsey, Operations Manager

Matt began his career in 2009 with Atlantic Prefab’s sister company, Metro Walls. Through hard work and focus Matt was able to take himself from laborer to foreman at Metro. With the launch of Atlantic Prefab in 2015, General Manager Mark Beroney needed an individual who could help orchestrate the operation of metal trusses, prefabricated wall panels, and specialty fabrication services for clients throughout New England. With over 11 years experience in construction and the attention to detail needed to ensure quality and scheduling, Matt was asked to join the team as Operations Manager.

We pride ourselves on being New England’s exclusive Sto Panel affiliate currently providing construction solutions to projects as far north as Oxford, Maine and as far south as New Jersey.”

Atlantic Prefab chosen for $25 million Oxford Casino expansion project

Atlantic Prefab Inc., provider of prefabricated building components & systems announces they have been selected to lead the pre-fabrication of pre-finished exterior wall panels along with interior load bearing panels and metal roof trusses for the new Churchill Downs, Oxford Casino hotel expansion project. The $25-Million-dollar expansion will feature more than 100 guest rooms, additional dining options, as well as an expansion of the gaming floor and meeting spaces, according to a Portland Press Herald interview. The planned expansion will great 60 new full-time positions, along with an estimated 1000 temporary construction jobs.
