Atlantic Prefab is pleased to announce it recently won a bid to design and build 53,000 sf of trusses for Delbrook Construction Inc. The project consists of two buildings, the first called The Commons is a two-story structure with CFS roof trusses spaced at 48” on-center bearing on structural steel and the second building is a one-story unit with trusses spaced at 48” on-center bearing on load bearing light gauge steel walls.
According to Atlantic Prefab’s General Manager, Mark Beroney, the company was chosen based on competitive pricing, complete all-inclusive package which included design, build, and delivery, and reduced requirement of compression member bracing.
Construction crews recently broke ground on the project which is located in South Weymouth, Massachusetts. The first phase of the project, called Fairing Way, will include 104 apartments for people 55 and older and a 46-bed nursing home. It is expected to open in November of next year.
