Estimator (posted 1/9/19)

Atlantic Prefab, Inc. of Wilton, NH, a fabricator of cold formed steel and wood prefabricated structural building components panels is seeking an experienced estimator. The ideal candidate will have experience estimating commercial building components. Drywall and metal framing estimating, glazing systems estimating, labor estimating, structural and misc metals estimating, pre-engineered building estimating, engineered wood products estimating, design and drafting of any of the above. Individuals with working knowledge of commercial construction methods, processes, wall assemblies, structural systems and etc. are preferred.

Job responsibilities/duties/knowledge will include but are not limited to:

• General construction industry experience and knowledge of commercial construction methods and products.

• Understand and implement all concepts associated with Light Gauge Metal and Wood Framing

• Ability to read and interpret blue prints from architects.

• Generate and provide accurate pricing and material quantities for estimating purposes

• Provide technical knowledge and assistance to construction and assembly personnel in the designing of components and component layouts

• Understanding loading conditions and utilizes design software packages

• Advanced computer skills and mathematics normally needed. Working knowledge of CAD programs

Qualifications and Skill:

• 2 – 5 years experience in estimating (in-depth estimating experience preferred)

• Performance driven and will be comfortable with sales responsibilities.

• Have an energetic, motivated, self-starter, and professional attitude.

• Be proficient in blue print interpretation

• Excellent computer / software ability as it relates to the construction industry.

Lead Designer (posted 1/9/19)

Atlantic Prefab, Inc. of Wilton, NH, a fabricator of cold formed steel and wood prefabricated structural building components such as roof trusses and wall panels is seeking an experienced Lead Designer. The ideal candidate will have experience designing commercial building components and assemblies. Previous experience may include: wall panel design, truss design, glazing systems design and drafting, structural and misc. metals design and shop drawing drafting. Individuals with working knowledge of commercial construction methods, processes, wall assemblies, structural systems and etc. are preferred. Additional beneficial experience would be: working knowledge of exterior finish systems such as EIFS, ACM, metal & wood framing systems, and weather barrier systems. This is a Team Leader position and requires hands on design responsibilities as well as overseeing others. Experience as a project lead is preferred. However, if you are ready to take the lead and your current employer doesn’t see it your way, we need to meet with you.
