Atlantic Prefab a provider in delivering quality metal trusses, prefabricated wall panels, and supplier of other prefabricated components announced they are now a proud Manufacturing Affiliate of Sto Panel Technology.
Since the early 1900’s when Sears Roebuck entered the prefab housing market, the construction industry has had what seems to be an on again / off again relationship with prefabricated construction. However, over the years prefabrication has certainly found its home in several commercial construction arenas; pre-cast concrete, trusses, wall panels, and so on. They have earned their staying power based on several successes such as technology, structural capacity, speed, and costs. Is this all that the prefab industry has to offer? Certainly not.
Atlantic Prefab is proud to announce it recently was awarded a contract by Commercial Drywall & Construction Inc. for the production of 93,426 sf of cold formed steel roof trusses for a 179 unit assisted living facility in Mystic, CT. Atlantic Prefab will fabricate the trusses offsite at its Nashua, NH location and deliver the trusses to the Mystic, CT jobsite continuously between November 2015 through early 2016.
Atlantic Prefab of Nashua was recently contracted by North Branch Construction in the building and renovation of the Central Fire Station in Laconia. The $4.2 million project includes the addition of new administrative office space, new dormitory facilities, a training-EOC facility, additional vehicle storage, and parking.
The fire station, which is a 40-year-old building, includes the renovation of 13,200sf of the existing two-story CMU block and steel framed building and the addition of a 13,000sf, two-story steel-framed building with brick and PVC trimmed façade. The fire station remains in full service throughout the extensive renovations. Click here to view on www.high-profile.com
